About Us
Since its establishment in 1970, Wesleyan Congregational Church and Christian Academy’s goal has been to insure that our students have a Christian atmosphere in which to learn and thrive. It is our desire to reassure parents that we will provide safe surroundings for their children as they receive their education ~ a family environment is our goal.
Wesleyan Christian Academy is an applicant for accreditation with the Alabama Christian Education Association. We have documented compliance with the basic eligibility requirements for accredited schools and are in the process of completing a self-study and preparing for a peer review prior to end-of-year.

Who We Are
-
Our philosophy at Wesleyan Christian Academy is based on a God-centered view of truth and man as presented in the King James Bible. Our goal is to point to Jesus Christ as the standard of excellence in education and our students’ identities in Christ as the foundation of spiritual, mental, physical, and social development. The authority for this type of education comes from both God’s command and from the fact that parents are responsible for the total education and training of their children. Wesleyan Christian Academy strives to become a partner with our students’ parents in providing this education.
-
Since its establishment in 1970, Wesleyan Christian Academy’s mission has been to ensure that students have a Christian atmosphere in which to learn and thrive by providing a solid education from a biblical worldview. We firmly believe that a Christ-centered education empowers students to not only excel academically, but also to grow emotionally, physically, socially, and spiritually — preparing them to impact the world for Christ. It is our desire to provide safe surroundings for students to grow and thrive — a family environment is our goal.

We believe that there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation.
We believe that humanity, made in the image of God, has only two biological sexes, male and female.
We believe that God is no respecter of persons; therefore, all individuals have value.
We believe in the Genesis account of creation.
We believe that the Bible is “inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness” (2 Tim 3:16).
We believe that the standards and morals found in the Bible are absolute and that they are critical to the development of an honorable society.
We believe that a sound education must be based on the Word of God.
We believe that a Christian environment is necessary for success.
We believe that challenge is necessary for individual growth.
We believe and insist that all teachers and volunteers must possess Christian character and have made a sincere profession of faith in Christ.
We believe in corporal punishment, but abhor child abuse.
